Located in a peaceful setting, and featuring an expansive natural outdoor play area, Windsor Neighbourhood Child Care Centre provides children with a unique learning environment that encourages creativity and exploration.

For more than 30 years our experienced educators have developed close relationships with local families. We believe each child is unique and learns differently, so our educators will spend time getting to know your child and family so we can create programs that reflect the way they will socialise, learn and grow.

We care for children from six weeks and offer a Queensland Government approved kindergarten program for children in the year before prep. We are conveniently located off Lutwyche Road for families who commute to the CBD. We supply all meals, wipes, sunscreen and nappies for the junior room. All you need to bring is a spare change of clothes and a hat. We offer nutritious, age-specific meals for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. All meals are prepared daily by our onsite cook. We are supportive of special dietary requirements and encourage families to discuss their child’s needs with us.

"The best centre ever. My daughter attended four to five centres previously, but from her very first day here, it was clear that this centre is truly different. The educators are incredibly kind, warm, and genuinely care for the children as if they were their own. I cannot recommend this centre highly enough. Thank you for everything you have done for my daughter. If you are looking for the best care for your child, this centre is the perfect choice."

Exploring natural objects

Children explore natural objects such as leaves, stones, flowers and sticks from the outdoor environment. Educators support them to observe, touch, and compare textures, shapes, and colours as they investigate. Through intentional guidance and conversation, children are encouraged to share ideas and ask questions, fostering curiosity and early scientific thinking in a calm, play-based learning environment.

Active exploration through outdoor play

Children love exploring our expansive playground, with our giant mango tree at the centre of everyone’s day, providing shade, connection, and a natural gathering space. During group time, they develop social skills such as collaboration, patience, and turn-taking as they create games and engage in imaginative play. Our spacious outdoor environment offers ever-changing experiences, with children moving between the sandpit, stepping stones, and climbing equipment, building balance, coordination, and body awareness along the way.

Shared discovery through learning

Children are encouraged to explore their environment with curiosity, investigating objects that interest them. Educators support discovery through hands-on experiences as children explore together, take turns, and share their discoveries. These play-based experiences build curiosity, confidence, and social connections in a supportive learning environment.

Child Care Subsidy (CCS)

Catholic Early EdCare is an approved child care service provider for the Australian Government’s child care subsidy. This means your family may be able to access financial assistance reducing your out-of-pocket expense. The level of support your family receives depends on a number of factors including your family’s combined income, the child care fees you are charged. From 5 January 2026, the Australian Government is introducing the new 3-Day Guarantee, making early childhood education and care more affordable and accessible for more families. Under this initiative, CCS-eligible families will receive at least three days of subsidised care per week (72 hours per fortnight), regardless of work or study commitments.

Eligible families already receiving CCS will automatically qualify for the new 3-Day Guarantee. To find out what support you are eligible for and to complete an assessment, visit the Services Australia website.

Current Fee Schedule

Fees are reviewed annually and may be increased each year. Quality care for children, affordability for families and financial viability of the service are the key elements in determining fees.
